had a Sanden on my Cj-7, ran Slick 50 in it...add a little every spring..had it for 8 years or so when I sold it...ran strong

I am in the process of building my second York air compressor after the first one seized last week from a lack of oil.

Who else has had catastrophic failures? What happened? And what did you replace it with? What improvements did you do?

My York never gave me a bit of trouble, I did regularly check its oil sump level with a specially curved York dipstick. Did you just never check the oil level or did it suddenly run out?

I didn't check it very often. The new build is going to include an oil level sight glass and an easy way to add oil.
