You guys talked me into Milwaukee, so here we go

I like the Milwaukee. It’s not the fastest, it’s kinda loud, and the poor thing is HOT after four tires, but it’s hard to beat it for ease of use. Set it and forget it till it’s time to move

As much as I like my York, I would not build a second one and I'm reluctant to recommend one due to the cost and complexity. There are enough good comparable options these days that are easier to deal with.

It’s also nice that it makes me bring a spare battery or two…in case I forget to charge one on the impact for instance…

does anyone have experience with the Milwaukee Bandfile? do you like, work as needed? would recommend?

Milwaukee Bandfile

I have a pneumatic band file...Its not something you use all the time, but when you need it, its nice to have. A good, coarse belt will grind the head off a bolt pretty quickly. Nice if you cant get anything else in there. Works well for spot welds too (though not as good as a rotobroach) I would imagine the Milwaukee version is as good as the rest of their tools.

Strongly considering picking up a M12 ratchet,

What are everyone’s thoughts on 1/4” vs 3/8”? Besides the obvious I am a little torn. The 1/4” seems it could be more useful space wise but the extra torque on the 3/8” might be nice.

I got the 3/8 as a combo deal too good to pass up. When I asked, Blains POV was the 1/4 fit more places.

I have the M12 3/8 ratchet and the 3/8 90 impact. The ratchet is too big to fit into small places and too weak to do much more than run down/off loose nuts on bolts. The 3/8 90 impact is only a little larger and I find it much more useful.

Also, these are perpetually out of stock, but kind of awesome. https://www.ratchetknob.com/shop/p/mw2-milwaukee-series-ratchetknob
get on the wait list and pick one up when they come in stock.

I have as well, I think I will just buy one, looks like a good solution for the hard to reach places i have encountered

I missed this the first time through but yes, I have both of them. Very handy when you need them, very few times you actually need them but when you do, not much else works.

That impact has also been a consideration for reasons you are stating. I can get my M18 3/8" impact in a decent amount of spots, this has to be way better than that.

Thanks...I did order the smaller version...
