Ground strap question

Hey all first post on here, I've got a 2006 Rubicon. Was looking around the engine this afternoon and noticed a ground strap hanging loose on the firewall. Can anyone help me locate where the other side of the ground strap connects to. I don't have any problems other than the fact it's just dangling there. Thank you in advance for any help. Hopefully my picture shows up...still learning the site

There's a ground strap that connects to the hood and another that connects to the engine block. That particular strap looks like it goes to the hood to help keep the engine's ignition system spark static noise from getting into the radio.

I'm 99% certain that ground strap goes to the underside of the hood.

Just went out and looked and I think I even see the bolt on the hood it connects to. Thank you guys very much!!

It connects to the hood to ground the underhood, engine compartment light.

I found this off on a 03 I purchased about 2 years ago. Great site, ran across and joined while searching the ground.

God I love this forum! I had the same mystery strap. Mine was obviously taken off when the paint shop installed the fiberglass hood.

At work right now but I am about 99% sure that I have that same issue and just ignored it. Gotta check when i get home.

Im sure you already know but won't do any good with a glass hood
