So like the headline says my 2000 jeep caught fire this morning. Looks like I need a few parts. If anyone has suggestions on sources that would be great. I called Daveys jeeps and they are two weeks out. The following is what I need.

Plastic intake hose from air box to throttle body
Injector harness or repair kit (mine isn’t burned from the 3 cylinder forward)
Throttle cable
Injectors
Pcv kit
New hood. Thanks in advance.

I've got a set of injectors from my '04 I'd let go for cheap, shipping's on you. They have about 107k on them.

I'm curious - what caused the fire?

Just wondering if it was leaves that caught fire there? I think there was a recall for that. They installed a little heat shield there. I was about to remove mine for better engine access but...

The time of year and location would be right for the leaf fire issue

The fire was caused by what looks like a mouse nest between the 3rd and 4th cylinder not totally uncommon from what I hear. What sucks is I have the heat shield for it and always keep that area clean. It just finally happened. Could have been worse!

bummer!

A little late now, but when you get her fixed back up, tie some dryer sheets in key spots under your hood. The mice don’t like the smell.

I’ve had good luck with this working on the Jeep, and my Dodge diesel.

I use twist ties, like from bread wrappers, to hold them in place.

Sorry for your loss, but I wish you good luck going forward!

Whatever you don't find here, FB marketplace or craigslist it might be worth checking car-part.com for local junkyards. As far as car fires go I'd call that lucky as hell, hope you get it back up soon.

Thanks everyone so far. I will PM anyone if I need some parts. I happened to put my fire out with a fire extinguisher from inside the shop I work in. Funny how you can’t find them when you need them tho.
Glad to here that! Luck favors the prepared.
