Ha! Just found this thread. I'm an old schooler for sure. This was my home for a couple weeks in the hills of Baumholder Germany, back in 1983.

I was at Ft Lewis, WA in 1983. Hanau Germany 1979-1981 and Baumholder 1985-1988 but I wasn't assigned to a regular Army unit when I was stationed at Baumholder. I was in a NATO unit on the German Kaserne out the back gate.

The Rock was a great place to visit. I'm glad I wasn't in a regular Army unit while I was there.

Nahbollenbach I believe was the name.

We've talked through messages here a while back. We were in a lot of the same places. Baumholder 1982-1986, Kitzingen 1988-1991 and Hanua 1995-1998. Spent my fair share in Grafenwöhr too.

I probably shared this here before, but it’s awesome so here it is again. On of my old jobs, and the most fun I’ve ever had. This was the first time we used microphones on the range. Tons of fun.

As most any combat troops who saw service in Iraq or Afghanistan will tell you the sound of a A-10 coming in was like the sound of a Uh-1H was to troops in Vietnam.
