I picked one up cheap as that was happening. Makes me wonder if they just weren't a money maker or if there is an inherent flaw in the design that caused them to drop it.

MOR/ryde is one of the trademarked names they use. Same as the Amazon spelling, it's actually the oldest name they have currently trademarked; the spelling without the forward slash wasn't trademarked until 7 years after the one with the slash in 2015, when they also trademarked their design mark (logo). Have had some of their RV products for years.

Really don’t need it as I run my back tire in my bed but man is it enticing…would be nice to run a spare when I have my backseat back there with guests.

I managed to snag one yesterday which should arrive tomorrow, I’m glad to see it’s legit! After missing out on a Bestop Supertop NX for around $700 (if I remember correctly) a while back on Amazon, I wasn’t gonna pass this deal up. 
I got mine today as well instead of Friday. It got here super quick, I haven't opened the box yet but will be tomorrow or later this week.
Price dropped again back at $249 as of 1030est today
dang, that's cheaper than when I bought mine in 2018. I'd be watching for it being discontinued if I was in the market for one.

Not a must, but you know you'll be running 35s eventually, so I'd snag it.
I also thing that even with 33s it's a good upgrade to have, especially if you're planning to off-road.

I agree. I was one of those that lost out on the first go round. Multiple sites I looked at didn't have them in stock. So I bit the bullet and bought one. Then I saw the change. Was able to convince Amazon to return 50% of the difference. They wanted me to return the original and repurchase at the lower cost.
It's doing a yo-yo now. 384 / 249 / 384 / 249 / 384 just today!
