Front Fenders, what's going wrong?!

05 LJ here. I got a set of fenders. 0 flare. Seller told me it was poison spyder but check this out. Seems like I'd have to cut the hood to get t to fit, but even then the tub and the fender around way more than a couple inches off... what's going wrong? Or are these just the wrong fenders for my jeep?

Those are highline fenders, meaning you gave to cut the hood to make them work. If you do that (which a lot of people do), the plus side is that you gain a lot more wheel clearance which is fantastic if you do some serious off-roading.

Thanks for the reply. How do you get the tub to mount to the fenders then? There's still bout a 4-5" gap... have a video I can reference or pics?

I may be a little confused since I've never installed these before (only seen them on other Jeeps), but do you mean there is no way to actually bolt the fender to the inner fender / tub because there's 4-5" of gap?

Exactly [emoji24][emoji24] it doesn't sit anywhere near on the remaining fender that's left after the cut.

That's bolted all in matched to the oem bolts and firewall and still a massive gap.

Oh yeah, that’s because on a highline conversion you have to take those inner fenders off and re-weld them about 4-5 inches up. Basically you have to move everything up about 4-5”, including the inner fender.

EDIT: I was wrong, they make a bolt-on inner fender kit that moves them up the appropriate amount.

No, you just buy the inner fender kit with the new battery brace and brackets. No welding needed.

That said, I've seen some oopsies before but that one is pretty far up on the list. Let me guess, seller in Corona on CL?
