Nut on door hinge keeps on spinning

I am trying to remove the doors on my TJ. The doors have never been removed, so I had to remove the nuts at the bottom of the door hinges. The first 3 nuts came off no problem. The last nut on the passenger side door will not come off - it just keeps spinning. I've attempted to press down on it with a screwdriver to catch a thread, but no luck.
Has anyone ever tried cutting off the nut with a Dremel tool or something similar? Any tips?

Ive snapped off a door hinge bolt where the nut was seized onto the threads. Been running the doors without nuts or repairing that bolt since (only snapped at threads). Worst case scenario you might hear the doors rattle when hitting some really huge bumps, but thats it.

On accident . Im just saying, my bolt/stud has no threaded part remaining, it basically stops at the bottom of the hinge where its inserted. So if you cut the nut off you'll be fine, even if you slightly damage the threads or stud itself.

Got it! Yep, same issue for me on the first three nuts that I removed!

As for tips, if you decide to dremel it off, which is what I'd probably do in your situation. Id tape some cardboard behind and around where you are dremelling as to not slice into your paint with the cutoff wheel.

Is the head of the bolt spinning also? The bolts are knurled just below the head and hold by being a tight fit in the hinge sleeve. If it’s spinning you might be able to grab it with some vice grips.

If the nut is spinning, but not the head, then wouldn't that mean the pin is broke?
Have you tried lifting the door off?

If you look at the pin from the bottom, that is not spinning with the nut, is it?

how did you snap it off?

I'd lock vise grips on it and wiggle till the stud breaks.
