Hi guys. Got a vibration in 2WD while accelerating in 1st up to 3rd. Seems to disappear at higher speeds and totally stops when clutch is in. No vibes at all in 4-hi. All linkages appear tight. No noise or knocking during vibration. Jeep has had a tummy tuck and wondering if the t-case has shifted on me slightly preventing a clean shift into 2WD. Here’s my question; is it normal for t-case to rest on the skid plate? Shouldn’t it be bolted to frame or cross member?
Thanks.

AFAIK the t-case is bolted to the trans which is mounted to the skid, no actual mount to the frame/body/x-member

My transmission mount keeps anything from touching/resting on the skid.

My guess:
Trans mount is trashed, allowing t-case to settle on the skid, transferring vibes being felt at low speeds. Goes away in higher speeds when axle wraps just enough to pick the driveline up off the skid.
