back in the 70s i knew a mechanic in Grand forks north dakota. He repaired mowers in the summer and snowblowers in the winter. His shop was a garage. Had one of those in the corner. just went out behind the garage but same theory.
My daughter used to say "let's hit the road" or similar when we would get into the car. So I'd open the door and hit the pavement, close the door and drive off!
