I just bought my first jeep this week. As far as I know so far, it's got 35s, a 3 inch lift, and a long arm kit for mods, and has a 4.0l/5 sp manual with 3.73 gears.

I plan on using it for running to the store/gas station and other small errands, and off roading on unmaintained county roads, creeks, and medium level trails. Don't plan on rock crawling with it or doing anything too crazy.

I plan on regearing to 4.10 gears, getting lockers, upgrading the dana 30 axles to chromoly, and upgrading to a super 35 kit for the rear. Would this be strong enough for my intended use?

Are there any specific brands/specs I should look into for the 4.10 gears and the super 35 kit? Anything I should avoid? Also anything else I should look into upgrading? Thanks for the help

I guess it depends on what you mean by medium level trails, but it is my belief that the weakness of the 35 is overstated. Meaning that for what most people do with their Jeeps, the 35 is fine. I dont know what you need chromoly fronts either.

My TJ has Dana 35 on the rear. I'm planning on keeping it until it breaks and then upgrade it. I'm also only planning on doing intermediate level trails according to OnX or TrailsOffroad.

Don't bother wasting your money if paying someone else or your time if doing it yourself to change from 3.73 to 4.10. 35" tires with your transmission need at least 4.88s if not 5.13s.

I'd rather be over built for what I'm doing than break something on the trail. Granted, I know it's going to happen sooner or later, but id rather avoid as much of it as I can.

It is a 44, looked up the Vin and just compared it to my dad's too to confirm. Just saved me a ton of headaches lol. Thank you so much!

This is part of what I'm talking about. The hype around how bad the 35 is caused you to start inquiring about a Super35 before you even knew what axle you had purchased.

Is it an open diff? If so, a Dana 35 or Dana 44 is good up to 35s. If you want to add a locker, I know an S35 would work great with 35s and a locker. Since you have a Dana 44, I'm guessing you would be OK adding a locker, but you might want to consider upgrading the axle shafts to chromoly. Believe it or not, the Revolution S35 axle shafts are actually a little stronger that stock Dana 44 shafts. They are both the same diameter with the same spline count, but the S35 shafts have rolled splines and made of stronger 1541 alloy.

Yeah, I'm planning on doing a regear and doing lockers on front and rear at the same time once I do more research and educate myself more on what I need to do. Really just getting an idea of what I'd like to do at the moment, not nearly ready to pull the trigger on anything quite yet.
