Yeah it's wide but honestly looks pretty good to me.
Resale is in the back of my mind but at the same time do people actually want to pay any type of decent money on used suspension components? I know I wouldn't.

You’re going to redo all the brackets anyway, right? Something cheap on eBay? Even if they’re too stiff and you’re flexing the brackets, they should get you through a winter of wheeling
Yeah all new brackets and coilovers.
I'm fine with buying something cheap but also want something that will last a season. The rough country stuff I've used in the past barley lasted 6 months before all the joints where loose and sloppy and if that's the only cheap end of the spectrum I'd rather avoid it I think.
how long is your "season?" For me, winter is about 4 months. That ain't a long time. I'm talking about something with out flex joints that just uses a poly bushing and is adjustable. With 40's and short arms, you aren't gonna have all that much travel anyway (I'd assume).
I guess it depends on where you're trying to wheel... But Yes it do look great and I'll bet once you're done it'll work great.
I think there are people out there who will buy used suspension parts since they seem to sell on here and I've bought used parts thru the years. But I'd think here is where the bigger dilemma comes in, if you buy some arms & joints that are going to be desirable you'll have to spend more now. If you can't find some used parts online soon then I'd pull the trigger on some CORE arms. But you'll need at least one end adjustable & a JJ if at all possible.
I wheel with guys who are wider than I am lol and I've never been on any trails in my past fullsize rigs where the axle width was a problem just body width.
I think I'm going to pull the trigger on core arms. Sucks as I have all the joints to build my own Links just don't have time to cut all the old brackets off and build/design a new suspension currently.
About the same 4 months. I try and go play in the dunes during the summer months but with next to no up travel I don't think it will be that fun until I redo everything. I'll be happy to get 4" up with short arms the jeeps only sitting on a 3" spring currently and a 1.25 body.
I figured form your other posts that the width wasn't going to be a issue. Up here in the central part of WA there are some trails that if you drive them legally and not do a bypass having outside tire width of more than about 75" you won't fit.
But I'm 80" outside tire width now with my setup so I'll have to skip a few trails now.
Edit: If you've got everything to build your own arms why not just pickup new joints of your choice that will fit the stock brackets and just build some short arms? It'd save you some money. But would it be enough to off-set the difference if you consider the time involved.

I actually haven't even measured my outside tire width yet. But yeah the local parks to me don't have any width restrictions that I'm aware of. Pretty much if you can fit between the gatekeeper you are good. Eventually I'll start traveling and wheeling new places but I'll sacrifice having to skip some trails due to width.
Rattlesnake Trail in the Naches area has a 75" width restriction. And then almost the end of Leaning Tree trail has two spots with trees that won't left more than about 78" width fit through. If you've got the suspension to climb the trees enough to fit through at a angle you can do one tire at a time but then body width comes into play.
From your plates I can see you were Army? When & where were you stationed? I was in from 1978-1992 active duty & then 1994-2006 Nat Guard and was part of the inactive reserves between the two. Went to Iraq in 2004.
Naches is definitely on my list of places to head. Lots of my friends head up there for the 4th usually but my job doesn't usually line up with having that holiday off haha.
Yeah guard from 07-09 15U never deployed stationed in Pendleton. Ended up breaking my fib/tib and was med boarded.
We're you part of the OR guard? I was in Milton-Freewater and was a 19K tanker. 3-116th I think? That was back in 94-97 then transferred to WA guard and was back being a mechanic. 52E
Was a 1SG when I went to Iraq. Got shot in the leg and it shattered my femur. Was medicaled out in 2006.

only made it to PFC, my uncle's retiring as a master Sgt this year from the Oregon guard. Can't say I've been able to do anything cool the time I was enlisted. Only reason I got the vet plates was for the proceeds to help the memorials and all that stuff don't feel like I really accomplished anything like you and men like you have to be considered one. Isn't that all in the same area up towards wanatchee? I feel like they go to all those spots. Furthest north I've been wheeling is Elbe and that's still more north west.

Funny Rocks and Moon Rocks are next to each other. Everyone calls it Naches but the closest town is actually Nile.
Wenatchee is about 2 hours north of this area.
The other GREAT trails are in the Rimrock area which is a little southwest of Funny Rocks. But all within a hour of each other.
Thought I replied to you haha oops. But sounds like some fun trails I'll have to head up that way sometime. I'm sure I'll end up working the Wenatchee sub sometime in my career which will put me living that way for a little bit.
Been busy at work so haven't had a ton of time to get on the Jeep. Managed to get my new steering mocked into place. Put the jeep at full bump and start planning the panhard mount.
Lots of goodies to be installed from motobilt. Shopping around for a decent painter to paint match the fenders. Have a whole plethora of parts I need to prep and paint between my LJ and the gf new to her rhd JK. Ended up buying some cheap generic adjustable arms for now until after winter when I plan on tearing it back down and redoing the whole suspension. Slowly coming along.

Waiting on more parts. Decided to run a flat pitman arm. Not a whole lot of room in here and I really don't want to move the box. I think with a flat arm I'll gain some room and still be about 2" pushed forward.
Also installed the new master cylinder. Bunch of research said use the ram 3500 van master and it's a bolt in option. Sofar seems to have worked obviously haven't driven it but pedal feels firm and all brakes are working.

Another update.
It's as done as it will get until next fall when I tear it back down to redo the whole suspension and stretch it. I'm very happy with it right now been putting a little bit of street miles on it trying to break in the gears and feel out any bugs. Went for a trip up the hill from my house and found a little bit of snow. Hopefully new years day will be my first major outing finding some deep stuff.
I do need to trim my rear quarters and am at a dilemma about what to do with the charcoal canister. I have access to the HP tuners mpvi just don't know anyone who can write me a tune to delete it. I've seen people relocate it under the body and I think it was Blaine who I saw made a new bracket and pushed it as far back as it would go towards the rear. I don't have emissions where I live and have plans for a V8 swap down the road whenever this 100k 4.0 pops at least.
