LJ Rubicon Dubbed the Henikon

WOW....
Any issues with the popo about the tires sticking out so far?

As for your charcoal canister here's what @NashvilleTJ did on his, His is mounted up in the passenger side area where is was stock.

I didn't have all those parts but here's what I did. I've got it tied up behind the passenger side shock mount. I'm not throwing any codes for it.

No problems yet. Obviously not daily driving it. And only drove it a couple times. I have the rear flairs to mount but dont feel like drilling into the body just to have more holes when I stretch it. I will be building some temp mud flaps just haven't made it that far yet.

I'll have to pull the canister out and see what's all involved ik assuming most of the parts are with the canister looks like just need some hose?

You just need the valve and filter for the computer to think it's all there & working. And it makes it a lot smaller package to mount. Easier than trying to find someone who'll delete it for you.

Look forward to seeing the stretch and how you like it.

Okay and both those components are already there right?

Yeah I'm hoping I will. Got the motobilt double triangulated kit. Just going to go full hydro. Trying to get my panhard mounted with these axles was already a pain pushed the front forward like 2" running a flat pitman. And I'm not happy with the geometry. I'd have to lose my swaybar or something to keep the steering box. So I called radial dynamics and they sent me everything I should need to make it streetable and strong. Have a friend that uses their stuff and with 13* castor it self centers and drives almost better than stock.

If you've got a rig that came with it then yes it's all there. Mine I used the parts that had been installed with the Hemi swap and was able to get it to work evne with my old style fuel tank.

If Motobilt had offer that kit when I started my build I might have done that over the Savvy kit. Doing full hydro was something I'd looked at but with my HP44 just seemed like too much work.
I'll be watching to see how you like it..

Crossing my fingers I have it all haha.

Yeah I've seen great stuff about both. I feel like if I was keeping it on the 44s and running a 35/37 I would have went with the savvy kit. But I knew I wanted 40s or bigger so I went this route.

Damn dude! Just saw an ad of yours on marketplace and it reminded me that I hadn't checked out this thread in a bit. That escalated very quickly! I'm about 2 hours northwest of you.

Yeah 😅 one thing lead to another. Lots of stuff still waiting to install. Currently in a dilemma on a tcase now. Atlas 4 speed or behemoth 205 with a crawl box. Decisions decisions.

Made it out for a new years day run didn't get really any pictures besides these 2. Really need to break these tires in more that's at about 4psi and hardly any squish stiff sidewalls.

Well I really suck at updating my build thread. heres a small photo dump of the last year enjoying the LJ and the current situation its in haha.

Took it to a few "cars and coffee" type events had to do the obligational park on someones tire pose.

scored pretty good on the rti ramp had the highest score out of all the other rigs i want to say it was a 1200 number if that really matters, but i was impressed since its on short arms and 40s

bought the step daughter her first jeep, pretty clean xj on 35s compared to the 42s

finally got tired of doing damage to the tub, stock link mounts, body mounts, belly pan and the death wobble I did to myself with my temp panhard bar mount i made when i first put the axle under it.
now its back under the knife and about 80% done. i went with motobilts double triangulated 4 link system, backhalf kit, custom 30 gal fuel cell and all the body armour i could afford (probably going to change the rear quarter armor to aluminium the steel ones are heavyyyy)
Full hydro came from radial dymanics with all the goodies that Eric could talk me into, 16" fox 2.5 ibp coilovers in the rear with 2.5 hydro bumps, 14" fox 2.5 ibp coilovers front with 2.5 hydro bumps. wheelbase is stretched to 115". ride height should give me 5.5 up travel with a 21" belly height my up travel limit in the front currently is the frame section/radiator which will probably be changed when I do a v8 swap and a front frame rebuild. the rear could net 6-7 up if i notch the frame for the truss and cut into the tub for upper link clearance which im not really wanting to do.

Did you cut the floor out to fit the fuel cell? Who made you a custom tank?

Yeah I cut the floor out. And a good friend of mine made the tank. Could have kept the tank out of the cab but it was proving to be difficult to package with wanting as much capacity as I could get so I opted for I think 8" below the tub and 8" above the tub has internal baffling inside and uses the stock lj fuel pump/level sensor.

We are going to build a complete cover over the whole cell with storage on the sides and in front as a built in toolbox type of thing. Along with sealing it all off as best as we can.

How many gallons did it end up being? Looks rather large? 25 gallons? Or more?

Are you able to route a fill port outside the vehicle?

If I wanted to yes. With a remote filler I could probably route it above the taillight in the rear. But it's going to be setup to where I have to open the back glass to fill it up. All venting will be outside though hopefully be able to keep the gas fumes away.
