I’m getting ready to buy a pair of rock sliders for my LJ. it seems that there is a debate online what to put between the slider and the body to prevent moisture, rust, damage…

Anyone here have input? If you put something in there, what did you use and how long has it been there? I’m particularly interested in those from rust country.

I used non-hardening putty at the top and lefty the bottom unsealed so it would drain

This set of A to Z rockers I went with Zach’s gasket. My previous set I used rubber roof sealant that came in a roll. The roll was roughly $30 and seemed to do the job well.

I was thinking along the same lines. I'm worried about trying to keep crap out, but instead letting it in and having it trapped.
