Donut spare

One has to ask......why in the fresh hell would a TJ need a donut spare when it literally comes from the factory with a full size?

I want the weight off the door. My spare is original issue date code shows 2000. Never used. Want cleaner look, better visibility.

With all due respect, I am not interested in comments or opinions, just looking for an answer to my question. Your opinions about what I like don't matter to me.
Don't know where you buy your tires. But explain to your tire dealer what you want.
Not exactly sure but a mustang wheel might fit. Others that know more can chime in. If it does the local auto recycler should be able to fix you up.

You will need the donut to be the same diameter as your other 4 tires. You didn’t say what size tires your Jeep has.

A lot of people don't carry a spare. Others lay the spare in the back instead of hanging it on the tailgate.

A 30" diameter donut tire may be challenging to find. You will also need a wheel that has your Jeep's lug pattern.
Get an air compressor with a good plug kit and remove the spare altogether.

I've never seen this attempted or ever thought about it. But, since you asked, how about an Audi Q5 collapsible spare? Can't get much smaller of a spare, although you would have to carry a pump. It's a 195/75r18 (29.5") and uses a 5x5 bolt pattern. There are plenty of 5x4.5 to 5x5 adapters available.
Thanks. I'll check it out. The rear is for my yellow lab, but i could fit an emergency spare leaning upright in there with her, just so I could limp to the tire shop.
