Agreed.

Their song "We Built This City" was garbage, yet the radio stations played it on constant rotation.

It was a manufactured "hit".

I can think of lots of terrible songs like that, songs that really suck yet they were on constantly.

Or that were actually good songs, but got so overplayed that it was ridiculous. To this day, I can't stand to hear "You Light Up My Life" - you could set your watch by the time that song was played every friggin' day! But it *was* a nice song until it was just crammed down everyone's throat like it was.
