Jeep is overheating at idle

Severe duty fan clutch. It pulls lots of air.. had nice oem water pump. But changed it anyways.. seeems lots of these 4.0 have this isue

It done it with oem parts also so I'm confused. Oem factory radiator. Replaced cause small leak but also at idle run hot.
You said you got the radiator from Advance Auto Parts. When an auto parts store says "OEM replacement", that just means they're selling you a part that will physically replace it... i.e. it will fit. That doesn't mean they gave you the actual OEM Mopar radiator that easily cools better than any store brand radiator. Store brand radiators absolutely do NOT cool as well as the OE Mopar radiator does.

But that was replacing a oem radiator that was doing same thing

I put a 350 chevy in my ol cj no cooling issue. This 4.0 may have to go bye bye. Lol
We're talking about the radiator being the likely cause of your overheating. If you don't want to believe it could be the store brand radiator you installed causing your engine to overheat, go for it. I will say that simply installing the Mopar radiator cures overheating that new store brand or internet brands of radiators didn't. Fact, not opinion.

Edit: And if your OE Mopar radiator was marginal from having been clogged with crud like hard water deposits, replacing it with a marginal store brand that is already marginal when it's brand new, as most are, won't fix anything.

But it sounds like you have your mind made up that it couldn't possibly be the store brand radiator you installed so I'll back out of this.

I'm having same issue.. changed engine a couple months ago cause piston slap. But it did same thing with old engine. Since then put in a new radiator from advance. Water pump, Old one seemed fine. Thermostat, radiator hoses, 2 jeep fan clutches and fans. Now i put a ford explorer fan clutch severe duty and 9 blade fan.. but if i let idle for 10 or 15 min gets hot.. heck i thought i could fix most things but this thing is getting the best of me.. need advice... not much left i can change..
Mine was a cracked head gasket and warped head

The fan clutch sounds like the most likely culprit for overheating at idle, but what if my high temp problem started out the exact opposite? I was on a road trip and it constantly shot above 210 when I would get up to around 50 MPH, I could slow down a little and get it to drop to around 200-205. However, anytime I got to a full stop it would immediately fall to normal temp range. I pulled over when getting into a small town and opened the cap to check the coolant level wondering if maybe I hadn’t adequately filled it after installing a new radiator. It blew
Coolant out like crazy due to intense pressure (and yes, I knew better but thought I could open slow enough to avoid). The coolant level was perfect. From that point on the Jeep ran at a perfect temp on the highway but now shoots up immediately upon stopping. I’ve replaced the radiator and cap. I flushed the cooling system when I did the radiator also.

Could this all still happen from a bad fan clutch?

I am currently on my 3rd radiator. Most aftermarket are cheap and crack. Anyway, my problem with overheating went away after changing the thermostat. It would get stuck and the jeep would overheat really quickly. After getting the thermostat replaced it hasn't overheated once. Given that you have checked the fan clutch I would look at the thermostat next.

If your engine temp is high only at idle but normal at cruising speed, that's typically a symptom of a bad fan clutch.
If you can freely spin the radiator fan by hand, with engine off of course, that is a good indication the fan clutch is not turning enough at low rpm
If the fan clutch is ok, I would want to know the age and/Or history of the other cooling system components, and go from there

My Jeep is doing the same thing even after changing the clutch fan. My mechanic suspects a leak in the head. 😑😑😑 Any other ideas? My Jeep is a grand Cherokee Laredo with 244k miles on it.

Are you losing coolant? If you're not losing coolant is your fan shroud present and in good condition? Is there any mud or dirt in your radiator's external cooling fins?

I have the same problem but my heat blows cold and hit when I get the rpms up and then goes cold at idle and jeep starts to rise in temp
