I have a 2000 tj recently installed new track bar steering stabilizer and ball joints issue I’m having is if I turn slowly to the left it gets harder to turn and makes a pop and gets easier has anyone ran into this? Also this is with the Jeep on the ground in park and run

It would definitely help if you had either some video of the steering components while you go through the right/left motions or have a friend/spousal unit do the steering while you watch said components to see where the pop (as other have said, likely a binding issue) is coming from.

One thought from a novice. Is the adjustable track bar adjusted properly? Can you see if the track bar is hitting the differential cover. Track bar would be scuffed up.

I had this issue for me it was the steering stabilizer shock. it was bent a small amount. when i replaced it the hole from the bracket looked like an egg and not a round hole. Maybe not your issue but worth a look.

I heard a pop (while wifey was turning the wheel) after installing our new Currie track bar, and i think it was caused by 1) an enlarged axle track bar bolt hole (axle side) and 2) re-using the factory bolt. I think the insufficient pre-load of the re-used factory bolt and enlarged axle bracket hole made the track bar bushing move relative to the axle when under load, hence the pop. Maybe a possibility... ? The track bar resists steering forces..
To address it I installed a grade 8 7/16-20x3" long bolt (had to drill out track bar bushing). I didnt have to drill out the axle hole since it was already enlarged, presumably from moving around too much prior to my ownership.

Ah yes the old wobble of death issue. if its an egg shape you can weld or get someone to weld a washer or fill the hole, You may not have the wobble yet but look at this video he explains a ton on these components
