Wild Boar grab bars

All 2003+ TJs had the full surround. Rubicons weren't that special.

OK I was just surmising that because everywhere I look it always says 2004-2006. I figured they must have forgot about the Rubicon since it came out on 03.

And I don't recall the visor being able to be attached separately from the trim without sitting funny.

The visors sit fine for me.

And the door seals just fine. The seal on the door is touching either the upper door surround or the metal of the A pillar. Not sure there is any difference in models that came stock with half doors. I guess there is a tiny gap at top where the plastic would have met the top bar but never had a drop of water come in that I ever noticed (the dirt did not wash off at least). But again 2002 and earlier did not have that peice at all as far as I am aware so figured it did not really matter.

I didn’t even know there were measurements/ instructions.
I just took my own measurements and took a shot in the dark with the holes. Both were a bit off so I just opened the hole accordingly.

Grabbed a pair slightly more expensive but doesn't have the dumb Angry Birds or Wild Boar branding :). It says OFFROAD instead. Installation is very straight forward on an 05. One thing I can say about cutting the hole is look at the pics from installation doc and try to replicate the location visually rather than going by tape measure. Worked beautiful for me.

Installed new grab bars ordered off of ebay for $25. Online measurement instructions were a start but still needed to do some dremel work on the plastic trim to accommodate the "Y" mounting bracket. (I didn't know the bars would say "AUTOSAVER88"-I guess I'll live with it)

My velcro style ones tried to kill me this winter, so I've been looking for a replacement. I like these, but I'm not to sure I want to cut up the plastic trim.

Look at my earlier post. It’s not as bad as you think. 1.5 inches gives you plenty of room for error. It’s a night and a day difference between these and the rope ones.

You really can't see the hole after its all put together. Almost looks like it came that way.

I agree with not being able to see the hole. I made a large cut in my plastic and to notice it you have to look from below and that is not a normal way of looking.

I'll take a pair. Will send a PM.

Sure thing! As you can probably see in the picture, they are slightly smaller than the GrabBarUSA grips (they slip on just as easily though). They feel like they are made from the same vinyl material.

That was my last set. I'm shocked how fast they "sold out". If 3 more people want a set, I'm willing to buy and split another pack.

Since it is a sloped edge, I don't understand specifically where to measure 2.75", or correctly, 2.25" from the Right side as in the picture. I wish they had measured from the Left side.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Thanks

I have those cheap grab bars and they work very well....Got mine on Amazon and they do say Wild Boar on them.
No fancy trim on mine to get around though as mine is a 99'
