Removing Rust Stains From Paint?

My Jeep had these taillight protectors on it. I took them off because they were rusting.

After they were off, I could see rust stains on the paint. How do I remove the rust stains without hurting the paint? Thanks!

I would probably do rubbing compound and elbow grease!

I have heard that Coke does wonder on rust, but never tried it before.

Cutting compound ^^^^ .
and a low speed power buffer.

But I think you might be past the cutting compound stage and into the cut, weld, patch.

Wash, clay, compound, polish. If that doesn't do it, look into wet sanding.
You may be facing a paint job on that section.
