Not Getting The Color Jeep You Wanted

Nice color, you can make it work! I like it better than yellow myself. While I happen to like the Bright Silver TJ I ended up with, color choice was also not in my top wants and needs (Dana 44 rear with 3.73 gearing or Rubicon, 4.0L, stock never lifted or wheeled, rust free, well maintained, hard top, manual trans if possible, ~100k or less miles, and in my budget!).

Honestly, there are several TJ OEM colors that I didn’t really care for much at first. But now, after seeing many different TJs, contrasting wheel and top color combos etc, I find myself really liking some of those colors and combos I didn’t originally care for. For example, the green and tan Sahara (like posted above) was not a favorite of mine at first. But now, I absolutely love that combo.

yeah if I did not like the color I would not buy it. I did not want white, black or yellow but was open to most others. I have nothing against yellow and it looks great on a TJ but after owning the below for 21 years (still do) I did not want a second yellow vehicle.

I used to have a dark green TJ Sport. At the time my neighbor had a khaki Rubicon hardtop and, although I was knowingly breaking the 10th commandment, I coveted his Jeep. My khaki Rubicon hardtop is right outside and I'm a happy happy man

I ended up with a black LJ. Living in AZ, black is down near the bottom of colors I want for a vehicle. I was really hoping to get a yellow or orange one. However, the right one came up and I couldn't see myself passing on it due to the color. I'm likely going to do some light paint correction next week to get some things out that have been bothering me.

I originally wanted either patriot blue or moss green, when i came across what is now my tj i knew it was the one. Originally i wasnt really a fan of the tan but i absolutely love the color combo now.View attachment 127938
This is the one combination that has grown on me over the years and caught my eye when it came out back then. It works with the top.

I didn’t want or was looking for a TJ. I was browsing for CJ7s. Then little Miss Black TJR popped up for sale dirt cheap. Picked it up the next day after a deposit. I do however plan to paint it “deep impact blue” from the ford line or a desert tan color.

I always liked red , so I got a white 03. If you can’t be with the one you love .,,,love the one your with .

i love midnight blue pearl , my 06 is that color...looks it’s best with aluminum wheels to me .

Love black , but shows a lot like the blue does .

I can fall for anything if I convince myself .

I never really wanted one particular colour, that being said I didn't want black or white (bit too bland for me). Wasn't really huge on the blue until I saw it in person and I just fell in love with the Jeep and well there was no turning back after that.

The TJ can get away with colours other cars can't pull off. I'd drive combinations in a TJ I wouldn't in most other cars

I bought the first one I liked. Luckily it was also the color I like the best, Flame Red, so yeah, I actually did. There are other colors I would have bought too, if everything else was what I was looking for.

I have a red one, but I wish I had orange or white. I am going to buy a second Jeep in the next year so I'm looking hoping for an orange find.
I'm thinking the same and leaving it as stock as possible as a daily driver.
I don't and never have liked white but for this one, as clean and factory is what i'm looking for and a white one would be perfect. Only in a TJ though

Red is what I wanted and was searching for. When one little dealer wouldn’t budge on price I went to another and they tried to get that one from the other dealer. Didn’t work so I ordered one from second dealership and 3 months later I had a red one with all of the goodies.

I was looking for an LJ, hopefully a Rubicon... color really didn't come into it and I bought the first good one I found... which was Khaki... not my favorite color.

I plan to fix that little color issue however by covering it with armor and dents/scrapes :)

I was really only concerned about the condition of the jeeps I was looking at when searching for mine.

Never gave color a second thought till I came across what would eventually become my TJ. I really disliked the green, but the condition, maintenance history and price were too good to pass.

After 2 years now, it's really grown on me. And I agree, they do look best when covered in dirt or mud!😎

I love the green!

But Yeah I’m with you on priorities.. I wanted a nice LJ, found a completely rust free 2006 with 6 speed and great MX records, didn’t care about the color in the least!
