The official "Jeep Wave" loyalty program

So... The Jeep Wave is now a Registered Trademark of Fiat Chrysler. The program only applies to 2015 and newer Jeeps.

Hmmm...

I guess they caught on and trademarked it.

Pretty silly if you ask me... A Jeep Wave club... LOL

Well, one of the benefits is road side assistance. I suppose that if you gave them a call on a sat phone and said that I'm at 45° 31' N by 123° 30' W and need a tow out of a rather sticky situation they would jump right on that.

Naahhh...

Haha, yeah, I don't think anyone is giving you that kind of roadside assistance.

Hell, I have AAA, but even they wouldn't venture that far I imagine.

I got a package for that when I bought my wife’s new grand Cherokee trailhawk. Get 2 free oil changes and moved to the front of the line for service versus people who don’t have it.

When you also drive this you wave to others, I think because you don't see them that often. I actually think the vette guys possibly started the wave. Waiving to Jeeps in my area is just plain silly, half the Jeeps don't wave back & there is a jeep on every corner. I Counted over 40 Jeep 2 doors, just 2 doors on a 20 minn ride one summer morning driving into work. Again that excludes 4 doors where i'm sure there were another 40 or more. I'm just NOT interested in waiving to 80 people on my way back & fourth to work. Call me no fun, but i'll pass on the Jeep wave SORRY !

I’m all bummed out now, hope you’re happy Chris. I only missed it by 13 years! It’s gonna ruin my New Years too.

I've always liked the whole waving to other people driving a Jeep thing, but it's one of those things that some people seem to take waaaay too seriously.

I mean, if some people really enjoy having big rule books for themselves as to what you wave at or who should wave first or whatever, then that's fine for them, but when it gets to people being upset over people waving or not waving or including people in the wave stuff with something that's different than what they drive or whatever, it's just ridiculous gatekeeping over something that should just be a simple nicety.

And to see Jeep/Chrysler/Fiat now using the whole thing as marketting for some program that they're peddling for profit, it kinda cheapens the thing too.

I don't know, maybe I'm just getting crankier over stuff as I get older, haha.
