Jeepless no longer: Back in the TJ game

After almost six months of vigorous and aggressive searching, I finally found the year, model, and color TJ I had been looking for!

2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara in Forest Green Pearl, dual tops, with 53k original miles, bought from the original owner. The outside needs minor detail and the interior is pristine.

I’ll start a build thread in a couple weeks, but in the meantime here it is!

Damn dude that thing looks great! I have the same seats in my Sahara and I love them - so much so that I put cheap seat covers on them to protect them from the kids & dogs. Every once in awhile I'll take them off like I'm displaying a fine museum piece lol.

Yes it’s sitting on 31” original BFG KOs and a 3.5” RE lift. It handled and rode very well.

The early TJ bucket seats are extremely comfortable, especially these Sahara seats. I have some Bestop seat covers I’ll keep on them when the top is off. The two-tone green and tan is classy and definitely museum worthy!

Nice! Just curious....is your oil pressure reading low? I have a later model TJ with no numbers on the gauge, but my indicator always points in the middle of the gauge.

You went from an 02 to 00. Not something I would have seen coming. I like the Sahara seats much better than the Apex edition.

No. Up until 02 the gauge actually moved with your oil pressure. 03-06 switched to the L-H with the gauge in the middle.

I sold that back in January lol. Tbh I hated the dark agate interior and those colored seats. I prefer khaki over all of the other interior colors. And I love how classy the Sahara is with the painted flares, two-tone seats, and the tan roll bar padding.

I do too. I didn’t like the color of the APEX seats and the Sahara seats are waaaayyyy more comfortable. I wanted a 2000 because it was the last year they did Forest Green Pearl and the first year they introduced the coil pack instead of a distributor.

Here’s a cool little tidbit as well. It came with a 9k winch (yay) that I’d never heard of, but apparently it’s made by Warn. It looked like nice quality so I looked it up and sure enough!

No I didn’t BUT, he did opt for the tow package so the diffs have 3.73 gearing at least! I’m ok with the Dana 35, and if I ever break a shaft, I’ll know it’s time for an upgrade
