What Features Would You Value Most in a Custom Built Detached Garage / Workshop?

I would look into the thickness and PSI of the concrete for a future 2 post lift. 4 post does not need as much, but I would plan for the big 2 post lift, if for nothing else, the next owner of the place won't call a DPO for not doing that now.

Totally agree with this. I did the same thing with my detached garage and definitely don't regret the extra work. I'd add a security system as well. Better to have it and not need it then the other way around.

This, I have cameras on the outside and inside of my garage, can check them from anywhere.

Do you ever run a hard top? A good hardtop hoist in a convenient location.
