Alright so I am having an internal debate with Metalcloak rear 6” flares on order. The PO put on 6” overlines in front so I wanted to finally match them up after 3 years. The problem is I just went from a 33/12.5 M/T to the 33/10.5 KO2 which looks much smaller in the front fender well. I love the KO2 so far and was shocked how quiet they were compared to my M/T. I have 1” H&S springs and Bilstein 5100s with a 1” body lift. I’m getting 2” ProComp springs and Rancho RS5000x put on next week. My concern is that with 3ish inches of lift, MC fenders, and essentially the max tire size I’m willing to run for my gears (5.13s 42rle) it seems like the gap will make these tires looks a little silly. 35s would look great especially on the LJ but not willing to go that route currently. I am considering cancelling my rear MC order and putting some of that money towards going full OEM on the front fenders. How much work and money would you all estimate to go back to stock front fenders and flares?

Why not change your order to 4" flares in the rear and also order a pair of 4" flares for the front? Or go with their 1 1/2" flare for both if you won't be hassled for your tires sticking out.

If you tried to go back to stock you'd need both the fenders & the inner fenders. Look on Car-Parts.com for prices on those parts. If you get lucky you might find some close to you that match your color.

IMHO I'd stick with the Metal Cloak fenders & flares and just get narrower ones to match your new tires. Then in the future if you were to go back to a wider or taller tire you have the ability to use a wider flare if needed/wanted.

So the problem I was thinking will be with the front Metalcloak fenders themselves not really which flare size I put on them. Regardless of flare the MCs open up the fender well so much it could make my smaller non Aggressive A/T look like a little donut. Thanks for the link I’ll check that out. I assume to piece every nut bolt and light for OEM style fronts will not be worth it maybe I’ll just keep it as is and keep my nose down at pull a part.

I’d keep them on there but search for a set of OEM fenders on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist etc. You should be able to find everything you need and sell the MC’s to recoup your money.

As LJ pointed out the clearance look is IN right now. Put the new tires on and look at it for a few weeks. If you decide you don't like the way it looks start shopping for stock fender parts.

If you desire to go back to stock fenders, you could always offer to do an even trade. I'm sure someone with your color would be willing to do that.
