A lesser known but becoming more common side effect of the virus bullshit is the diminished capacity syndrome. The longer it goes on, the dumber previously smart folk get. As such, I seem to have been able to encounter a plethora of idiots on just about every subject possible lately and I just ain't that smart.
I too suffer from DCS...your not alone in this

No one cares what it measures horizontally, because clearance of the axle doesn't happen horizontally, it happened from where the tire compresses under the weight of the Jeep. My 33 inch KO2's measure about 31.5 inches. If what SCiotola said is true, than I would buy KO2's labeled as 37's and treat them as 35's if I wanted 35 inch tires. Also, if you go onto GrimmJeeper and punch in 35 inch tires, its not going to account for the fact that your tire may run small or that it gets compressed by the vehicle. So if you want dead on accurate results for choosing your gearing, go off the exact vertical measurement of the tires at whatever PSI you run them on the road.
I know how the fucking rolling radius works. This dumbass tire game has been played on the internet for the last 20 years that I'm aware of and I'm sure it was around long before that. What it leads to is tire fuckery when you are trying to make a recommendation for tire size based on equipment level.

It is common to see sound recommendations for limiting tire size for certain axles to 35's for tough terrain. Then the tire fuckery starts. Oh, well, see, that's where you're wrong. I'm running brand fuckyou and they run small so even though they say 37" on the sidewall, I measured them sumbitches and they are only 35.5" tall so they are just a slightly big 35.

Ya'll enjoy your tire fuckery. I'm out.

This thread reminded me... I'm not afraid of heights... I'm afraid of widths.

I don’t get this at all?

I'm confused. If I air down my 35's to 8 psi does that make them 29's?

I bet I’m in the group of those suffering from DCS according to Blaine... but this thread is crazy. Blaine is right on this one and those who don’t understand why haven’t been reading the posts related to tire size enough. Vertical height isn’t what matters.

315 means nothing without knowing the aspect ratio and wheel size

Following Mr Blaine's advice, I measured my tire horizontally. My K02 spare, laid on the ground, is ~32.3149.
