I cut my teeth working on a rusty 280Z I bought when I was 18, so I particularly enjoy the Rotsun episodes. I bought it having done a couple of brake jobs and strut replacements, and the 280Z ended up being my first engine build, suspension rebuild, and full drivetrain swap (early EFI to 3x Webers, 4 speed to 5 speed trans, rear diff swap for gearing). Mine wasn't as rusty as the Rotsun but still had just enough that I wouldn't have wanted to repair it.

The episode that got me hooked on Road Kill was the one where they extracted an old CJ out from under several other junkers sitting on top of it in a junkyard. That they got it running (barely) and took it out on a road trip ending up in the boondocks and 4-wheeling it just made me grin. Cool program, David makes that show!

The first show I saw was when it first came out. The bottlegger and lambo show off. Where they just drove around.

thought it was stupid and didn’t go back for awhile. Boy am I glad I went back. Now I’ve got my daughter sitting and watching it with me every Sunday night.

what annoys me is all the YouTube users who constantly piss and moan about the cost of motor trend. especially when they have deals like Black Friday where you can get the whole year for $1.99

I enjoyed their first few seasons, where they really challenged themselves by using only junkyard parts or used parts. Seems now it has gone they way most programs have, lots of 'plugs' for products and putting on new parts on junkyard stuff, not as challenging or fun IMO.

Another motortrend show I liked was bitchin boot camp. Kind of a reality TV for fabricators.

Yeah, I dig Finnegan and Freiburger, Dirt Every Day, and most anything any of those Motor Trend guys do. The 4 wheel challenge with trucks bought off craigslist, and then run up to Alaska was great!

I tried to get a shirt, but they were out of my size. I especially like the fact he's running an '02. Same year as my rig.
