Show us your special edition

There is a you tube vid somewhere on the Grizzly and from memory it was an X re badged in or for the UK, its base model for a reason I think to attract land owners/farmers/ country vets and cops called "Vera" lol Its a working 4x4 without all the bits that break and go wrong which is what was wanted for tight country roads and muddy paddocks use.
Can't find it, except for the one uploaded within the last 24 hours by a UK garage with one for sale. That description and logic sounds pretty sensible. To be honest I like it basic, anything else would seem somehow wrong to me. The only luxury in it I have been happy about is the 6 disc cd changer in the centre console, but then I am old enough to have a large CD collection.

The one thing I am a bit frustrated about is what seem to be 'non-standard' seats, which as far as I can tell means I can't get any seat covers that will fit it. Not a pic of mine, 'borrowed' from the dealer's website who has the one that the YouTube video advertises, but same seats...

My 2004 TJ Columbia Edition with 89K miles; virtually stone stock save for 31" tires and a 1/2" spring spacer lift. Special Columbia Edition stitching on the seats, Rubicon (slightly wider) fender flares with Dark Graphite Metallic paint which matches the Ecco wheels, metallic silver center and instrument panel surrounds. Obviously a "cosmetic" Special Edition, as are most I guess. I do like the black with dark graphite contrast; I've added a pair of half doors with another set of OEM mirrors and all doors keyed alike. Soft top only, Dana 30/Dana 35 LSD, 3.07 gears, Cruise Control:

Here’s my 2004 Extreme Sport. Which is basically a Columbia Edition for down here in New Zealand and a few other RHD countries. Apparently only 4 of these in New Zealand

When I got it:

and my most recent pic, with heavy duty springs installed to level the ride height and some new wheels and tyres (wasn’t fussed in keeping the graphite eccos)

will be getting 32s in the near future (31s on it now), new Trektop soft top, half doors, savvy tail lights and other little things to tidy it up

I likey very much! :)
There are a lot of variants of the TJ exports that are a mish mash of US special addition variants like the Sahara being badged as a Renegade in Oz and NZ This because they needed to comply with local new car registration laws!
Look at the UK variants like Jamboree and Grizzly lol

I have a 2002 Grizzly UK edition, I have no idea what, if anything, is 'special' about it as I don't know what stock model it was based on and therefore what may be different  It is pretty basic, so if it is 'upspec'ed' the model it was based on would be lucky to have wheels!
Hey UKTJ, let's have some pix!

Especially the stickers or badges particular to that special edition.

Seems to me that most special editions I heard of were done on the X model as a base. I could be wrong, but that's what this thread is all about, let's learn!

This thread is worthless without pics

That's cool that there's only 4 there in NZ! That makes it hella special.

I like the stock wheels better than the steelies, but to each his own. Bigger tires do improve the look over stock, 32's more so.

Thanks!
They are alloys, I didn’t want heavy steelies. They are American racing Baja 16x8

Rubihara #443. Does anyone know how many Rubiharas came manual trans versus auto?

I didn’t realize they made that kind of hybrid of trims.

A Sahara-Rubicon. Judging by your number, they didn’t build many, automatic or manual!

Your’s have any “special” equipment or details that regular Rubicon’s, or Sahara’s didn’t have?

If so, let’s have some pictures!

Saw this one the other day

The YJ Wrangler Rio Grande was only available in the year 1995 and was created to boost interest in the base 4-cylinder Wrangler “S” models. In addition to gold and green paint colors, the Rio Grande came in colors rare for the Jeep brand including aqua and bright mango. It also came with it's own seat fabrics
