While the weather didn't cooperate this year
for my tradition of ridding
the helmet...(the top)...on April 1st...

Today, I just couldn't take it anymore.

Top and doors off now until Halloween!!!

Meanwhile, it's 98 here

Too hot to have the top and doors off. We've got backwards seasons.

That’s awesome. Mine is coming off this weekend. Hardtop so I have to plan it haha. I see you’re from Altoona? Lena’s up there has the best meatballs in all of the land. Love that place.

Man I nearly froze to death in Silverton one year on Aug 28- no kidding, ice storm up on a pass. Unreal.
That is why i leave the top on mine when i'm in that area. I have hiked much of that area over the years and in later years jeeped it. Anytime over treeline the weather can give you a huge surprise in 30 minutes. Hypothermia is a bitch. And that date--one year many years ago had my group in a 3 day snowstorm all around 12-14k feet.

Removed my HT a week or so ago, now has soft top and half doors installed, off road configuration!

I usually leave the doors on so when it gets cold I roll the windows up and turn on the heat. It a little more tolerable in the cold when you are going over mountain passes.

Here in Florida the rain squals roll thru during mid day so while I may remove the soft windows, roll down the glass windows and lower the soft top; I would not remove the soft top.
Yep the five years I spent in Florida, pretty much from spring to early fall you could set you clock by the 1-2pm rains. Then back to the good old heat within 15 minutes of the rain stopping!!!!
