PRP Daily Driver Seats

HOw'd you mount the factory seat belt receptacle?
I ended up using an L-bracket from Seatbelt Solutions and a 4” extension (2.75” hole to hole) that I picked up on eBay, along with 1/2 bolts and nyloc nuts. The Daily Driver would be better suited for a nylon strap and buckle but I couldn’t find one that fit.

@Jerry Bransford did you drill additional holes to mount the brackets? Your mounts appear to be back further than mine.

I actually have the kit in my basket right now to do the exact same thing on mine.

I have two configs I'm looking at. Flange down or flange down. Based on your belt experience which is better?

Flange down:

Flange up:

Flange up more closely mimics the stock height. Should I move it backward? Open to suggestions.

Not sure if it matters to you but the decision for me would boil down to which position grinds against the center console the least
And which one doesn't puncture the seat, if that's even possible.

Ah noted, yes good point I'll mock something up for the test install and see from there

Which seats are those?

This is what I did with the Enduro Recliner. The metal on the buckle bracket is wrapped in several layer of woven tape and goes between the vinyl. Looks and functions just like stock.

Ya I got the elite recliner also. Dude that looks perfect, I didn't try to stuff it under the vinyl. Ok that's what I'm gonna do

I actually have Enduro High Back Recliner but it would be worthwhile to see if you also have a similar option. It took some checking to see the possibility but it works perfect.

I wasn't able to do that without cutting, which I didn't want to do. Ended up running it outside the fabric on the corner.

So I'm close to ordering a set of PRP daily drivers, has anyone else bought them recently that can comment on quality, comfort, looks, etc.? I know @Jerry Bransford likes his and a couple people have bought the adjustable seats recently but I don't think I need the adjustment.

I'm a bit torn on material selection but I'm thinking tweed for the center and sides with black vinyl on the back. No piping or logo with black thread. I'm a bit concerned about keeping the tweed clean but I don't want swamp ass vinyl on the part you sit on. I was thinking either suede or cordura on the sides. I'm also not sure which black vinyl to go with. One looks darker in the photos. Any input from those of you with them? (I've requested material samples but I want to get in before the free shipping and 10% discount is over at the end of the month)

Absolutely HATED them. Gotta curl up in a ball and squeeze into the seats without hitting my head. If your older, and your Jeep is lifted, climbing in and out sucks. If you off-road and hit a lot of steep angles I can see they would hold you in place nicely. As a “daily driver “ they are horrid.

All of that is surprising me, I love mine. At 73 I don't have issues climbing in/out of my Daily Drivers with 5" of lift and 35s.

What’d you switch to?
