Anyone have a Titan XD with the cummins?
Ive read terrible things about it.
But they are cheap.

I need to pull my camper but dont want to pay an arm and leg for a 250-2500.

Buy with confidence.

Let's put it this way they stopped making them because they didn't sell...

Something like 1.5% of truck market sales went to the XD Diesel...
As a whole they only sold 1 for every 8 trucks they built... Not a good way to turn a profit.

So by all means go for it.... if you want the truck that no one else wanted... I mean 3/4t pricing to get a little more than a 1/2t truck...

"As we wrote earlier this year, the XD diesel offers “almost, but not all of, the capability of an HD truck in a slightly, but not too much, smaller package,” while sacrificing much of the ride refinement and luxurious appointments we’ve become accustomed to on new trucks."

Killed by effete Americans!
2019 Ram 2500 Diesel Laramie, Crew and Mega Cab Starts at $50,795

2019 Titan XD Diesel Crew Cab Starts at $54,380

Yeah because Americans are "effete" More like Americans Don't want to pay MORE for Less!!

Neither one of them would be anywhere NEAR those ridiculous prices - if it weren't for all the effete crap Americans insist on. Dump that - and the double cab - and you'd have something worth owning. As it is, Americans have shown they're perfectly willing to pay for this junk - thus its all that is available. More money than brains, I say...

You can get a tradesman Ram with vinyl floors and very little in the way of options.

Same with Ford with their XL. You are forced into all the fancy options.
Exactly, I was comparing apples to apples as best I could with the 2 instances I posted... But I do agree with @Zorba the price of Trucks is freaking ridiculous!!!

What is even more funny is I can buy a 5500 or F550 cheaper than a 1 Ton. I imagine it’s insurance and licensing, but funny to think about it.

That's correct. Its because such trucks cross over into the commercial realm - leaving behind the expensive consumer oriented crap. You get more truck, less crap, for the same or less money.

Actually they're comparably equipt trucks. Same features, lower cost because there's less demand for that class of truck...

Now *that* is surprising. The ones I looked into were "somewhat less" than a 1 ton - but they did NOT have the stupid crap on them. But that was several years ago.
