Bought the jeep a year ago. My gauges stopped working every now and then, but would come back on after driving for a little bit. Well now the gauges have stopped working for a couple weeks so I have decided to start digging into the problem. so I cleaned the connections on the back of the cluster and nothing. Then I took a look at the fuses which I probably should have done first and I have noticed that multiple fuses are the incorrect fuses per the fuse diagram. Is there any legitimate reason the previous owner would have done this? He had installed led headlights, taillights, and interior lights as well as an after market radio, but I have never heard of swapping fuses for lighting, but I also don't know much about doing that. My question is: is it possible my gauges aren't working due to incorrect amps in unrelated fuse spots and should I put the correct fuses into place? Sounds like an obvious yes to correcting the fuses but maybe there was a legit reason for this?
