    Bad PCM? Alternator isn't charging

Yea the diagram I sent you is dealership OEM info. The wire you measured 870 on (the ground wire) has a break/corrosion somewhere. Last one I fixed I just cut relatively close to the plug, joined onto it and ran it directly to ground with an eyelet. No need to try and remove the pin and whatnot...

    Bad high pitched noise

Found the problem. As insane as it sounds, the light bar was flipping upward when driving, making the insane sounds, and flipping back downward into position when you would stop. One of the craziest, simple things I’ve seen in many years as a tech. Thanks for all the help guys 🤙

    Bad high pitched noise

Nothing changed on the jeep accessory wise, and everything is good and tight. It won’t make the noise on the hoist wheels on or off, which makes me think it’s load related. I’m a red seal technician(that’s essentially a master tech in Canada) and seen lots of strange problems, but this one is...

    Bad PCM? Alternator isn't charging

I apologize, I should have specified- I was referring to measuring pin 2 on the alternator (ground circuit) and battery ground for resistance. The alternator pin 2 is chassis grounded to the side of the engine block, and that wire has a tendency to break. So if it measures high, ground the wire...

    Bad high pitched noise

I have a jeep tj, 05, 4.0 auto that has a bad high pitched noise from the front that I can’t seem to figure out. It seems to be coming from the front centre, and starts at about 100KM/H (60mph) then won’t stop. Keep it mind it will only make this noise when the vehicle is in motion. Pulled front...

    Bad PCM? Alternator isn't charging

Measure resistance between the ground terminal at the alternator, and battery ground. I’d say the ground is bad. Most of these Jeep’s are grounded on the side of the block. If resistance is high, run a new ground.
