Plug or broken bolt in frame?

You may have to modify the driver side arm to avoid driveshaft interference.

Plug or broken bolt in frame?

That is where the front brace of the auto trans skid bolts to the frame on 2003 - 2006 models. Previous owner probably removed skid when lifting Jeep.

Tailgate bar keeping tailgate from latching tightly

My bad. I didn't realize your rear window isn't installed yet. Never had mine removed from the rear window.

Tailgate bar keeping tailgate from latching tightly

Something doesn't look right. On mine (original 2004) the open channel faces inward.

Smiity built SRC roll cage kit install

I put the OR Fab sport cage in my 04 many years ago, so I don't know about the Smitty version. I can't see clearly in the third photo due to sun glare, but it appears that the vertical piece needs to go up against the horizontal tube. Looking at the second picture there needs to be some...

Advice about dual tone paint on 1999 TJ

I've seen color mismatched panels before. It usually indicates a rebuild after a wreck or rust. As long as you're happy, who cares. Can you tell us more about the Jeep? It appears to have JL wheels, which means there are wheel adapters being used. What's the frame look like?

    Battery and tender troubleshooting question

A battery needs to be fully charged to do a proper load test. Put an old style charger on it and keep it on until the ammeter drops down to a low rate.

33”x12.5R15 tires on my stock 15x8 rims?

If you don't run wheel spacers you'll have to go with a 10.5 width tire.

Why Not Just Use The 32RH?

Years ago, a younger guy in our local Jeep club put a 32RH into an 03 Rubicon that he just bought. The Rubicon had already been hacked up by the previous owner (Dodge truck manual with granny gear, Atlas transfer case, air suspension, etc). He pulled the tub off the frame, cleaned and painted...

Looking to lower my wife’s 2005 Wrangler X!

Nice looking Jeep! The tires appear to be in good shape. Before spending money, check the tire pressure. Don't inflate them to the door sticker listing as the X model probably came with a 28 or 29 inch tire from the factory. Bigger tires require less air pressure. You might be able to get away...

LJ Rubicon - Rust - Looking for Opinions

I think the price is crazy high for the condition. Some people believe the LJR is made of gold. What is your intent for use ? Do you really want an LJ or would a TJ suffice? I can see thousands of dollars needing to get that rig to be decent and fully functional.

Steering questions. Hey all I have some ?'s about my steering set up on my 2005 Wrangler.

I wouldn't rush to replace the drop pitman arm yet. It looks like the track bar has a drop bracket at the frame end. I don't know anything about the components in a rough country lift. I believe if you replace the drop pitman you would also need to replace the drop bracket for the track bar...

2004 - 4.0 Wrangler - Best Tire Size (Regular Road Use Only)

225/75R15 would be fine. Google says that was the stock tire size for a Sahara trim and the base model got 215/75R15.

Unable to get proper lower / upper control arm adjustment for 4 inch lift

Your Jeep must be very light to get 5.5" rear lift on the 4" springs. Do you even have a rear bumper installed? With some weight and time, those rear springs should sag.
