I am installing a Smitty built SRC roll cage kit on in my 2006 Rubicon. I am having some trouble with getting the pillars to line up with the main bolts next to the doors. They are 1/4 inch short of lining up. I know the factory roll bars have varying distance up 1 inch off. I have seen videos of installing the SRC on 97 to 02 but none on 03 to 06. The extreme Terrain site says to enlarge the bolt holes another person cut the out the plastic running up the window area by the door. The picture of where the pillar bolts on is the issue the pillar should be over 1/4 inch to line up with the bolt holes. The picture showing the dash is where one guy cut a section of the plastic out. The picture with the grab handle is where I cut the plastic so the pillar would get close enough to bolt on. Has anyone run into this issue and if so how did you fix it ?

I put the OR Fab sport cage in my 04 many years ago, so I don't know about the Smitty version. I can't see clearly in the third photo due to sun glare, but it appears that the vertical piece needs to go up against the horizontal tube. Looking at the second picture there needs to be some clearance above the dash pad and the weldment plate. If you can move it up the bolt holes should line up. Good luck.

Is the driver's side floor pan in good shape? Sure it is not dented or concaved in just a bit? I think the A-pillar bar looks low, and needs to go up a bit. I'd put it in place and shim it to match the floor pan.

Thanks. I got it by loosening the stock roll bar that allowed everything else to move just enough to get the bolts in. SRC installed just need to tighten everthing up put the speakers back in and modify the roll padding.

Floor plan is good I just needed to tap the pillar up with a rubber mallet.

Where did you find one for sale? I've looked off and on but never can locate one.
