What did you do to your TJ today?

Just installed a new serpentine belt. It was nice to do something fast and simple. I even found the belt locally so I didn't need to wait for the part!!

What did you do to your TJ today?

Yeah, I did work in the UPS Wearhouse one time and saw how they transferred packages. It was like a game to them, if it said fragile I swear they threw them harder. I don't think the labels really do any good.

What did you do to your TJ today?

It used to be that way for me but since the COVID thing, it has not been good. Our idiot governor probably has something to do with it. lol

What did you do to your TJ today?

The last parts I needed to get it all back together were the inner axle seals. UPS had them in town on Wednesday then shipped them 150 miles south before they finally got them to me on Friday, just moments after I paid twice the price to get them locally. Oh well, I have them for a buddy or the...

What did you do to your TJ today?

I have been busy the last couple of weeks getting my TJ current on maintenance. Should the rear axle bearing be silent?

Thanks for the feedback you guys, I have decided to use them as they are, they looked good on inspection and I agree with you guys on this. Now I need to finish the brake job, finish installing the hand throttle, install new diff covers, and try to figure out what the hell is wrong with my front...

Should the rear axle bearing be silent?

Well, that is awesome, I really didn't want to order more parts! I don't mind the work but I would like to drive this thing at some point :)

Should the rear axle bearing be silent?

Hi all, I have a quick question on the rear axle bearing. I just did a brake job on my rear Dana 44 drums and I had pulled the axle to check the bearing while I had it tore down. The bearing and race looked really good, with no discoloration or any signs of problems. I had .012 end play before...

Doing rear drum brakes? A must read!

Looking at my drivers side again I see that the brake shoe guide is missing so the cable was installed first over the large section of the pin then the springs. Looked right if a person didn’t know about the guide plate, and apparently it works without it because my brakes were working fine. I...

Doing rear drum brakes? A must read!

This is a great thread, thanks to everyone for their contributions. I just got to checking my rear breaks after buying this jeep a couple of months ago, I know I should have checked them sooner but I have been doing a lot of other maintenance and just got to it. When I removed the drums I...

Savvy 241 (Rubicon) transfer case shift cable install

I just installed mine the same way. It just made sense to me to go in from the top to avoid removing the skidplate and DS. Easy install and it works so nice compared to the POS that was there.
