I have a 2000 wrangler with a 99dakota swap and someone stole my pcm. How can I find out which pcm I need to get the right one. Also when I get used pcm do I give my tj vin to be programmed to the Dakota pcm thanks in advance

I have a 00 with the 5.2 Dakota swap. Someone stole my pcm so I don’t have pcm no to match to new pcm. The 5.2 is a 99 Dakota engine. I didn’t do the swap so I don’t have vin for the Dakota either. Also if I order a plug n play Dakota pcm do I give them my wrangler vin to be programmed to

Do you have to split the case housing to swap input shafts

Do you have to split the case housing to swap input shafts. I can’t find a how to swap. Just rebuild

Just want to make sure what I need to do. I got a np 231 j case out of a 4.0 auto wrangler. I plan to put it in a 97 2.5 speed wrangler. I would need to change tge input shaft from my 97 into the 00 trans case correct. Thanks in advance

I think a ring clip broke on this park think inside the pan. Now it’s half in park n only have forward. From what I been reading

Shifter is off. It will move forward now but I can’t get into neutral park or reverse doesn’t grind any more so I think tge transfer was causing that

I didn’t think of that. I put my transfer linkage on and drove like 10 or so miles stoped put it in park then like a min later put in drive moved forward a few feet then back in park. Went to back up then n it wouldn’t move.

My trans is grinding when putting in park. And ever other gear is like neutral. Any ideas what could b tge cause of this.

Seems like it’s stuck between park n reverse. Can’t get into any gears. Grinds when I try to put in park. It won’t go into park either.
