Transmission grinds when putting it in park

My trans is grinding when putting in park. And ever other gear is like neutral. Any ideas what could b tge cause of this.

Have you checked the fluid level? If so it's probably time to pull the drain plug and check for metal.

Did check your transfer case lever position? Is it still in 2wd? When did it start?

I didn’t think of that. I put my transfer linkage on and drove like 10 or so miles stoped put it in park then like a min later put in drive moved forward a few feet then back in park. Went to back up then n it wouldn’t move.

Check your transfer case to make sure it's completely in 2wd.

It's related to the transfer linkage install, probably not adjusted correctly.

You will need to get under as Jerry mentioned and make sure your actual transfer case position lines up with your lever. If you installed an aftermarket like Savy cable shifter linkage, the instructions should tell you how to verify you adjusted it correctly.
