    3rd brake light contacts

To answer your original question, they are not spring-loaded. I had to cut/move some carpet that had distorted and gotten in the way and then bend the bracket a bit. Turns out there's a short in my 3rd brake light wiring and has been blowing the brake light fuse so it's disconnected again.

    Tailgate Molle Panel Recommendation

Got the Smittybilt tailgate MOLLE in ODG for Christmas. Great for storing a few tools and other junk. I can post pics if anyone is interested. Pro tip: if you want something but think it's too much:ask for it for Christmas.

What did you do to your TJ today?

I can feel the rust crumbs falling into my eyes just looking at that picture. Good on you for gettin' er though! As for what I did, changed the oil and was gonna rotate my tires. Wheel lock key wasn't in the glove box so I looked around for it a bit, couldn't find it, and went home. When I got...

What did you do to your TJ today?

I *think* I've finally tracked down a rattle that's been driving me nuts since I've owned my LJ. After jiggling everything I could think to on the front end I discovered that the passenger brake caliper had one slide pin bushing that was worn to the point of wiggling. Every little bump in the...

    Tackform Dash Mount (No Drill)

Oh that's not a bad idea. I use the mount enough and am therefore much too lazy to go through that much effort. I'd much rather just complain about it.

    Tackform Dash Mount (No Drill)

I'm gonna have to do some rework to mine. The plastic ball on the phone side softens in the heat and I have to break it away from the arm and the tackform mount itself gets phucking hot sometimes to the point I can't touch it for a while after getting in. Thinking I may go with a Ram X-grip and...

Turn Signals and Hazard Flashers Quit Working

The tail light assemblies ground through the housing to the tub and can do some goofy stuff when that ground goes bad.

Any tips on driving my Jeep from from NY to OR?

If you do end up taking highway 30 north out of Laramie, get in and out of Rock River as fast as possible. Got stranded there in a snowstorm for about 15 hours a couple years ago JFC it was the longest 15 hours of my life. If you stick to I80 the Ames monument between Cheyenne and Laramie is a...

    JL wheels on JK adapters?

Interesting. I've been running JT wheels and tires on the Spydertrax JK adapters for 9 months or so with no issues. My first rotation is coming up soon so I'll have to look closely. Not sure what lugs are on mine though since the PO had spacers with the stock LJ wheels.

    Gladiator wheels on TJ

They didn't fit for me either. I had spacers on with ravines before putting the gladiator wheels. Used spidertrax adapters and the gladiator lugs feel like they'll thread on by hand and when you go to torque them down you'll feel it slip. Used the same lugs from the spacers I had on the ravines.

What did you do to your TJ today?

Took the doors off last night and in the process dropped the passenger one and busted the mirror off. Good thing my paint already sucks.

Looking for a full metal hood latch.

I don't think anyone has posted these but this is what I got. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KZLY9SV/?tag=wranglerorg-20 I'm on my second set since one of the locks corroded closed last winter. If that does happen you can still get the hood open with a few Allen wrenches. Obviously they won't get...

Help! Jeep Wrangler 99' TJ Headlight wiring issue

To add onto this get a multimeter or test light and turn the headlights on to check which wires are high, low and ground if you aren't sure.
