So glad I read this thread! I had the same harsh rattle that seemed to come from the glove box, every time I hit a pothole. The hood support rod was popping out of the retainer clip and banging on the passenger grill support rod. Slipped some rubber tubing around the rod and that fixed it...

I just did this... - Tensioner: Mopar part 4854089AB. From Amazon as CharlesHS suggests, comes with the torx head bolt. I don't think it would be a good idea to substitute this bolt, as the head seems to have a taper for positioning/securing the unit. - Idler pulley: Mopar part 4854092...

Yes, plenty of solutions, but don't really want to add another key to my collection, thought the ignition keying option could work out. Probably an expensive cap with a trip the the locksmith though!

Okay, set the LPF to 100 Hz, flattened the equalizer (media player and head unit) and adjusted gain - much better! Punchier bass, with less variation between tracks. Thanks @skrelnik !!

Speaker level input. Yes, adjusted gain as you mentioned. Any thoughts on the best low pass filter setting?

Have not upgraded the head unit, but sounds good enough for me. Supposed to output 200 W at 0.5 ohm, hence why I wired the DVCs in parallel, but that's peak and not RMS. Just wanted to tweak the settings in order to narrow the range of bass output between different tracks - if that makes sense?

Finally got around to tightening them... Left side: Pushing the star wheel down expands the shoes. Right side: Pushing the star wheel up expands the shoes. I expanded them until it was difficult to turn the tire, then backed off by 4 notches on the star wheel. Parking brake now holds at 3...

Two halves? Do you mean disconnect what's under the boot (I assume a piston-type connection)?
