No but we had them new for a few thousand miles and a few months..they all ran like clockwork,,unlike the Metro Turbos which blew their gearboxes aprt at 6k..lost two that way..

Ah useful to know thnx..there was a strange little switch with what looks like a two press for two actions that goes to a non OE relay and at least part onto the KCs on the front..I'll look further..so no spots, no fogs and no rear number light but at least I know how to fix that one..

As you said..I found the fog light switch position thank you..actual light does not work but that may be due to post Japan import wire butchery..I disconnected quite a lot of after market scotchlock connectors and wiring..quite why the wiring was butchered so much I don't know..I guess various...

So I'm very pleased to have imported from Japan a mid 2004 4.0 Auto Sport TJ which was orginally exported to Japan back in 2004. Its been very well looked after but seems to have been Nippon-ised in various ways. The sat nav / smart roads system seemed to have many aerials and miles of cables...

An update on my TJ..finally arrived in the UK at Newcastle on the 12th April 2021, 6 weeks after it left Japan. Took a week to get through customs and picked up. Arrived 19th April. Took it next day to my local garage / MOT station..took them a whole week to get around to the MOT Passed MOT...
