    Scraping metal sound

Possibly good possibly not. Don’t get too caught up on “where” the sound is. It’s part of it, but crazy enough sounds can seem one place and caused from another. The earlier answer is correct, if you are in N, and rev the engine, and the sound increases and it speeds up, then it’s (most...

Headlight low beam out on driver side, broken wire (Violet/Purple with White Stripe) behind passenger headlight. Recommended fix?

https://www.quadratec.com/products/97052_1206.htm I used the 100w/80w and you need the higher output harness.

Headlight low beam out on driver side, broken wire (Violet/Purple with White Stripe) behind passenger headlight. Recommended fix?

https://www.ksuspensionfab.com/store/p6/H4_Upgraded_Headlight_Harness.html#/ This wiring is what comes with the Toyota (same concept, not exact build) and it’s inkh $25. With this, I run the higher power Halogen , brighter bulbs.

Headlight low beam out on driver side, broken wire (Violet/Purple with White Stripe) behind passenger headlight. Recommended fix?

I actually switched my son’s JK from the stupid slide in connectors to H4 like our TJ,s and got pigtails off the shelf at Napa or Advanced Auto.

05 Rear Seat latch Disassembly help

I would drop a Rusty one in a bucket if EvapoRust for 2 or 3 days. Maybe. Wire brush and see if it cleans it well enough. Wipe it all and if it wirks, clean with brake cleaner, and then oil it, I use a shit if RemOil but I have a lot of cans of that. I’ve brought a lot of rusty crappy items...

    Scraping metal sound

You’re not able to disconnect the front drive shaft? Can you hire someone? I’d do just the axle side. Wrap the U Joint caps so they don’t come off, and tie it up very secure. Very. Then drive, sounds like you’ll know if that’s it right away

Headlight low beam out on driver side, broken wire (Violet/Purple with White Stripe) behind passenger headlight. Recommended fix?

If you’re asking a more basic question, how to splice? I like the connectors with built in heat shrink, makes it super easy. I’m an over do it guy, I do those, and then also a heat shrink tube over the whole thing ha.

Headlight low beam out on driver side, broken wire (Violet/Purple with White Stripe) behind passenger headlight. Recommended fix?

trick question ? Splice the wires together if there’s enough, if not splice in a section? If it’s close to the connector and cannot be spliced, get a new H4 pigtail and splice it in…. Or 3rd option, get the Toyota Headlight conversion or the stand alone headlight wiring boost. You connect it...

What am I missing here? (a death wobble thread)

I don't disagree, but switching is super easy and quick. I'd go front to back, and just see if there's any difference at all. If it's tires....there should be some, they can't be all balanced wrong exactly the same. They might be way worse. It's just eliminating variables, and making it...

What am I missing here? (a death wobble thread)

I’d start by taking the back tires to front and seeing if you see any difference at all. If you do, then tires are an issue. I’d got that route of balancing anyway.

    Nonstop overheating'

I would agree, 215 isn’t over heating. You described the system heating up closed, and when the thermostat opens it cools down. Now, I would think the thermostats at 195, so they should be open. I also agree that you might want to run a cycle of Thermocure just to make sure it doesn’t...

Unpopular hot take / change my mind

Umm, it’s Unpopular, but not Hot, IMO. You own a 4 banger, and have apparently been out drinking heavily, so changing drunk guy’s mind, is not worth trying, ha.

1999 Jeep Wrangler SE TJ frame paint

I do not comprehend people reworking good products, very frustrating. I wonder if the Krylon primer is any good. I think I have 2 old cans of the paint left and only really need to paint the Savvy engine skid, not that it’s needed, but it’s mostly all black under there now. So I might not...

    Vibration

I would inspect the U Joints in the drive shaft. Easy to disconnect the front and drive the Jeep and diagnose. That’s where I would start, if that didn’t show to be the cause, I’d pull the rear then run 4H and see. Doesn’t hurt to balance and rotate tires but your description doesn’t make me...

1999 Jeep Wrangler SE TJ frame paint

This is a frame section rear after this paint. Looks pretty solid to me for what I wanted. Below is before and after in the front
