Hey all, new member here, and new Jeep owner. Forgive me if I posted in the wrong area.
I have a 97 Wrangler 2.5L, and I just installed a 1.25" body lift kit. My problem now is the fan shroud does not fit anymore. The factory clutch fan would very obviously hit the shroud now. From the bit of looking I've done, my options seem to include the following:
-Simply cutting it
-Going without the shroud, and finding a different way to mount the PS and coolant reservoirs
-Getting a 4.0 shroud, as those look much thinner (idk if they would bolt to the 2.5L radiator)
-Getting a Mishimoto electric fan and shroud (seems overkill for a stock 2.5L)
-Getting lifted engine mounts (seems to be the most common)
More about the Jeep, for those curious. This Jeep was my neighbors, which I bought off him to fix and flip. It had been sitting outside under a black walnut tree for over 10 years. Only paid $400, but have done tons of work to get it running sound and completely redoing the interior. However, since I live in Utah, I wanted to take it out on the Salt Flats before I sell it. It's got 17" JK wheels with 31.5 tires and 2" spacers. I figured the lift would help with rubbing when steering sharply, but also add a bit of stance and ground clearance. (Completely stock suspension, though I will be changing brakes, front wheel bearings, and sway bar bushings, one of which has a broken bolt :/ )
The 1st pic is how I found it, the 2nd pic is how it sits now. Thanks for listening, I look forward to everyone's responses.
