    Jeep Stalled and Died

I replaced the rotor and cap less than 5k miles ago with a new MOPAR cap and rotor. Also, I'm getting no spark out of the coil — I attached a spark plug to it and got nothing.

    Jeep Stalled and Died

Yeah, but it's a brand new MOPAR coil so I'm less inclined to blame the non-existent spark on this component. Is there a test I can do on the ignition coil to ensure that it's functioning as it should?

    Jeep Stalled and Died

Hrmm, doesn't the coil ground itself through the two bolts that fasten it to the bracket? I don't think the coil/wires were damaged on the trail. It's in a pretty safe place and I didn't cross any rivers.

Pending codes were cylinder 6&7 misfire as well as a random misfire code.

    Jeep Stalled and Died

By the way, I replaced the ignition coil with a brand new MOPAR coil and that didn't fix my issue..

    Jeep Stalled and Died

I did this and it did not want to start. I checked the fuel pressure at the fuel rail and it was hitting 42psi while cranking the engine. I tried to get a spark out of the ignition coil by putting an old spark plug in the ignition coil cable but saw nothing. I also checked the ASD relay and...

    Jeep Stalled and Died

Hello all, I've got a 1998 Wrangler 4.0L with 128,000 miles and on my way to dinner last night the Jeep stalled and I couldn't get it to turn back on. I pushed her off into a parking lot and waited for a tow. The tow truck driver tried putting fuel in as well as jumping it — of course, this...

    Rear mounted tow hook?

Yeah I'm using a combo box/open end wrench but it's too large to fit in that slot! I used 1/2-20 fasteners, which required me to use a 3/4" wrench. What size hardware did you use?

    Rear mounted tow hook?

Jerry, This might be a dumb question but how did you fix the nut and turn the bolt? I can't get my wrench through the slot in the bottom to hold the nut down.... Thanks!

    Affordable California Compliant Catalytic Converter?

Thanks! Yeah, I usually like doing my own work but I've been reading that the cost savings to do it on my own isn't very high... I may just have a shop do it especially if it requires welding.

    Affordable California Compliant Catalytic Converter?

Hello. Bottom line up front: Does anyone know of an affordable catalytic converter that's CA compliant? The MOPAR cat is almost $600..... A few months ago I had a cylinder 1 misfire that took me awhile to troubleshoot and diagnose. I eventually gave up after trying everything under the sun and...

Are spark plugs and wires from AutoZone or O'Reilly's any good?

Ah, $110/hr isn’t much cheaper than $150/hr. I was honestly expecting you to say $80/hr or something like that. I wonder if driveline and gear shops charge more because they’re more of a specialty shop? I don’t know. Also, I think a lot of the labor cost is from the machine shop. I bet their...

Are spark plugs and wires from AutoZone or O'Reilly's any good?

Yeah, I've found that labor rates around here are between $150-$200/hr. What are they like in Nevada?
