Decent tool set for the teenager (not Jeep specific)

I got this kit for my son on sale for $169. It is a common item that goes on sale at HF. Pittsburgh tool set It was decent enough that I bought another one for myself to throw on the trailer when I travel.

    Arizona Rock Crawler

Enjoying my coffee this morning and and while checking out and enjoying the pics above I looked down and noticed the gnome/wizard combo. I think they are both telling me to go wheel soon. Great pics and happy to see you all out wheeling!

    Arizona Rock Crawler

Nice!! Not sure if my words have ever been referred to as wise, but when followed you either have a really good time or I never hear from you again 🤷 Easy Doesn't Make Good Stories, Take the Hard Line!

    Hitch-mounted bike rack recommendations?

1up mount works great, it pushes a ball outward against the inner side of the receiver so it really gets tight with no twist or wobble at all. I wouldn't hesitate to use that extender. I have the original 1up single mount and an extra tray. I made my own plate to bolt the extra tray onto so...

    Hitch-mounted bike rack recommendations?

Expensive but worth every penny is the 1 up. If you do a lot of riding just bite the bullet and get the 1 up.

    Leaking rear axle seal problem

Only possible way to check (without pulling shafts) is to open the cover and see if the drivers shaft is touching the pin, if you have a locker that may be difficult. If everything seated and it hasn't started leaking you should be ok

    Leaking rear axle seal problem

Not saying you did this but I just bring it up because I have seen it happen in the past and it is just good to know. If you swap the shafts by mistake and put the longer shaft in the driver's side, it will start to leak again pretty quickly. The shafts can be installed on the incorrect side...

Front differential leak, should I just redo the RTV?

I am actually in the market for a front Dana 60 and a RJ60 would meet the need if you have one sitting around.

Front differential leak, should I just redo the RTV?

I have had the same experience as Tworley with the lube lockers. If you are planning on being in the rocks, stick with the RTV. If not the lube locker works great.

New Tow Pig - Considering a Topper - Thoughts?

My dad used to have a topper on his F150 and had a toolbox similar to what you have in the front. I think he had to install the top and then install the tool box so that the tool box was sitting on top of the topper flange (which was sitting on and clamped to the bed flange). I always thought...

    Arizona Rock Crawler

I added a cross member to that track bar mount, it runs from the track bar mount to the frame on the other side. Of course I am in full support of the stretch, but in the meantime you could just weld that crack and then run a cross member.

    Tennessee Red

I was not in downhill/rock garden shape on this last trip but I did feel pretty good on some of the climbs and got a few PRs on climbing sections. Need to get more practice on the downhills and in the rocks to get back in shape to rail them. I actually just converted my bike back to SS and...

    Tennessee Red

Hot Springs has more rock and less clay compared to Hawk Pride. If it is wet you're jeep will come with much less mud on it than from an Alabama or TN park. It's a little bigger overall compared to Hawk Pride. Hot Springs is a great park and a highly recommend giving it a go.
