Folks, Under normal use conditions what is the amperage requirement to support the jeeps electrical system? i know an alternator at idle doesn't produce its advertised current. The situation i described was not at idle. it was rolling down the road. This "situation" is also a mute point...

Crazy long time since my last post. Update is there is no update.... Engine is still pulled and waiting on a new piston. Up side is after honing the block we only had to get a single piston 0.003" over size.

fun story..... engine was running horrible and making a sound that was similar to that of a cummins 12 valve. dropped the pan to see what was going on to find that the piston in cyl 1 could be moved by hand...... engine is pulled and back at the machine shop.... yay.

i think i narrowed down an issue with why the engine is running like crap. i'm suspecting that the timing chain might have been installed incorrectly and the cam is advanced way too far forward. intake center line is 107 Lobe Sep:113 Intake duration: 254 Exhaust duration: 262 if by some chance...

had missfire on cyl 3 &5 intermittently. wont throw codes during idle. once i start driving it tosses the code.

built by reputable builder, spec'd myself... those injectors are rated at 43psi. under 60psi (2005 standard fuel pressure) they should flow 28lb/hr
