Im very much leaning towards the fuel pump aswell,am I correct to say its in the fuel tank and a difficult replace?

I tried that aswell,sometimes a check gauges comes on while cranking

Could be something to do with me bypassing the starter control wire in the ignition assembly because of the common piece of metal that snaps not allowing the control wire to make contact to the starter.I hooked up a control wire to a toggle switch that I use to turn over the engine.

I agree its not getting that first squirt of juice to fire up but it stays running good when it is going

I’m having the same issue with my 2003 TJ,it won’t start unless I spray a little quick start into the air intake.It stays running(nicely)until I shut it off then same thing.
