I shifted as much of the cabling away from the engine as I could and it stopped doing it. Reset the codes and drives totally fine now. Must be a short somewhere and that cable was knocked by the potholes into something that made it ground. Further investigation required, but driving for now...

Don't buy a TJ, they are the worst vehicles that have ever been created. 100% serious. Non stop problems.

Taking it into shop tomorrow, but I need to go somewhere urgently today. I've done 300km since it started leaking as I had to return from a trip. There is oil all over back wheel. Will it damage anything if I drive it?

Interesting. I assume also that a TJ without an AC condenser would run cooler.Also a thermo fan in front would restrict air flow while driving... AHHH! Can't wait for an electric version of a wrangler, internal combustion engines are just ridiculously complicated.
