North Carolina Moving Overseas / Selling my 2001 TJ / 41k Miles / $37k invested

I think you're right. Bids are at $17,500 on eBay with two days left. Starting to sting a bit less into the home stretch.

I actually modified the original plastic housing that Jeep used by fixing a sheet of mdf board to it with the hole for the sub cut out, and then I wrapped the whole assembly in Noico. It wasn't the prettiest final product, but it fit perfectly, sounds punchy and deep, and it has zero vibration...

North Carolina Moving Overseas / Selling my 2001 TJ / 41k Miles / $37k invested

This morning, I listed my TJ for sale on eBay. The auction goes live tonight. I am starting bidding at $15k and have set a BuyItNow at $24k. To be honest, I have no idea how best to value it or what will come of the auction. The Jeep itself is in fantastic shape, and the whole listing does a...

    2001 60th Anniversary Silverstone TJ

Rocker panels are installed! Passenger side was a breeze. The driver's side was a bit trickier, including a drill bit through some wires. All in all, I like the JCR system.

Only one. As I drilled the several 5/16" holes into the body, I have to say, I felt nothing. Onwards and upwards!

JCR rockers underway... so far so good. The worst part has been drilling out the Sahara rivets from the channel that held the old color matched plastic pieces in place.

Turn signal issues after replacing multi-function switch

...And like that google and Jeep forums to the rescue! I simply had not appreciated that in changing the multi function switch out in an attempt to fix my fogs, I had left out the flasher relay. The helpful thread that saved me is here...

Turn signal issues after replacing multi-function switch

I could use some advice. When I bought my Jeep the blinkers worked and the fog lights did not. I purchased a new steering column assembly and everything seemed to work once again. Along this build journey, I replaced the stock tail lights with Trail Tails, including wiring in LED resistors...

    2001 60th Anniversary Silverstone TJ

One more update for the weekend. When I added the Bedtred to the Jeep it came with a panel for the tailgate. Today I added a JCR molle panel over it. It's a nice little mod.

    2001 60th Anniversary Silverstone TJ

This weekend, I added a Viair 400H compressor for airing back up after time spent offroad. Check out the post and photo tutorial here.

Viair 400H Onboard Air Compressor Install (Lots of Photos)

I have a build thread running for my ongoing overhaul of a 2001 TJ here. This post on installing onboard air felt specific and robust enough to warrant a new thread. I hope I have found the right home for it here in General Discussion. —- I knew I wanted to add onboard air to my Jeep and...
