Are these holes in my brand new soft top normal?

The new one has zero holes. I was surprised that it fit so much better too—all of the seals seal like they should, and the doors close much better. I think it was just a bad set that slipped through the cracks, as Jamison C said. It can't hurt to send them pictures and your receipt to see if...

Are these holes in my brand new soft top normal?

Thanks for the advice, everyone. They sent me a replacement right away, and it has none of the issues I mentioned before.

I just sent them an email—hopefully get back to me soon. Thanks!

Thanks! I think I'll do this.

Are these holes in my brand new soft top normal?

I just got a Bestop replace-a-top (black sailcloth) soft top and installed it on my 2006 Rubicon. I've installed several soft tops on my TJs in the last several years... But I've never gone with the more expensive sailcloth before, so I'm not sure what's normal. I noticed a few things that...

I need advice on wheel width and backspacing for less common tire sizing (new tires, wheels, and lift)

@deadbeat son I've been trying to find out where those came from since I saw that picture over a year ago. Thanks a ton.

I need advice on wheel width and backspacing for less common tire sizing (new tires, wheels, and lift)

Good point. My inspiration has been this Jeep. I know not everyone will be a fan, but I think it looks neat. If only I could track down those wheels... Oh, wow. That washer trick seems way too easy—I'm going to try that tomorrow. I'm sick of hearing that nasty grinding noise when I turn sharp...

I need advice on wheel width and backspacing for less common tire sizing (new tires, wheels, and lift)

Good to know! I didn't notice that sneaky "E" at first glance. I wonder if it'll be much of a difference. Time for more research... Thanks for the info!

I need advice on wheel width and backspacing for less common tire sizing (new tires, wheels, and lift)

Sorry! I meant to put that in the main post. 265/75r16 (I think it's around 31.5x10.5?) . I'm liking ManWithJeep's suggestion (235/85r16 with 16x7s)—I didn't know they had KO2s in that size until now.

This is perfect—that combination might be exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks a ton. :)

I need advice on wheel width and backspacing for less common tire sizing (new tires, wheels, and lift)

Good point! I'm looking at 7" now. I didn't know there were so many options for those until now. Thanks! Oh okay, I didn't know that. I'm assuming that going to a smaller width (with the right backspacing) is the answer to tire rubbing then?

I need advice on wheel width and backspacing for less common tire sizing (new tires, wheels, and lift)

Thanks for the info. I would like to get rid of the 16 Moabs—several of them are beat to hell by the previous owner, and I don't like the look enough to buy another set. I figured I should go with 15s since the tires seem easier to come by. Is there any upside to getting another set of 16s...

I need advice on wheel width and backspacing for less common tire sizing (new tires, wheels, and lift)

It might be, but the current tires (which came on the Jeep when I bought it) are about 31.5x10.5. When turning sharp, they rub, which is partly why I'm going to do the lift. They also stick out .5-1inch past the fender flares, but I guess that isn't a huge deal. It looks like I'll still be...

I need advice on wheel width and backspacing for less common tire sizing (new tires, wheels, and lift)

The current Jeep: • Stock 2006 Rubicon (automatic) with 31x10.5r16 tires • 95% on the road (daily driver, but we also go on a lot of long trips throughout the states) • 5% off-roading in mild to medium terrain, mostly to find cool views and camping spots (not looking to do extreme rock crawling...

Need help with rough idle (and a question about CPS)

Thank you! This sounds like it could be the issue. Living in Florida, it can get pretty warm. I'll try this next.
